Harry Browne’s 5-point sales process is: 1) Get attention, 2) Identify the problem or need, 3) Position your product (or service) as the solution, 4) Prove your case, 5) Ask for the order. If your are thinking of starting a business, this essay will help you (I hope).

Step 1: Get attention. To sell something you need to get the buyers attention. You may do anything to get their attention. Many restaurants or other businesses have billboards next to the highway or the road to get people interested in coming to their restaurants or using their businesses. Many little kids have lemonade stands and put a sign in front to tell people walking or driving by that there is a lemonade stand there and maybe get them to by a cup. There are many other ways to get people’s attention like an add on the internet.

Step 2: Identify the problem or need. This is easy. In the last step I mentioned billboards or signs as a way of getting attention. On those billboards you might say: “If you are having trouble with (a problem or need) than (your business name) can sure help with that!”

Step 3: Position your product (or service) as the solution. Your billboard might also say: “Here is how my business can help, (how your business can help).” That is how the third step works.

Step 4: Prove your case. This is also said as answer his questions. Pretty much all buyers have questions about your business, like, “Will this really help me?” Well, obviously your billboard or sign can not answer questions so they might try to look it up on the internet to see if it will really help them. Some sellers (or salespeople) try to sell people stuff face-to-face. This is like door-to-door selling where a salesperson walks up to a random persons door and does all of the steps that I have talked about and even answers peoples questions about the business.

Step 5: Ask for the order. also said as close the case. The salesperson after answering peoples questions asks them if they want to try the business. If they say no or not right now, better luck next time.  If they say yes, great for you! You call in an order for them and if they like it then they may tell their friends.

I hope this essay helped you. If you think I am missing something please give me feedback.

Ancient Greece is very interesting. According to Google, “The Greeks made important contributions to philosophy, mathematics, astronomy, and medicine. … The Greeks were known for their sophisticated sculpture and architecture. Greek culture influenced the Roman Empire and many other civilizations, and it continues to influence modern cultures today.” The Greeks were a lot smarter than we thought they were.

Pre-Socratic philosophy is also known as early Greek philosophy. They are very significant because of their thoughts and theories on how they thought the world worked. One philosopher actually thought that everything is made out of water. They are all very smart for people who lived a long time ago.

According to Franchise.org: “A franchise (or franchising) is a method of distributing products or services involving a franchisor, who establishes the brand’s trademark or trade name and a business system, and a franchisee, who pays a royalty and often an initial fee for the right to do business under the franchisor’s name and system.” In summary, you pay a fee and a portion of the profit to run a location of the business. Examples of this are Chick-Fil-A, McDonalds, Rural King, and a lot more.

Going independent is doing your thing and you do not get the help you need from a franchise. Things that you can get with a franchise that you can not get by going independent are a trademark, business system, and a franchisee. There are many other things that you can get with a franchise that you can not get by going independent that I do not know about but there are a lot.

According to Franchise.org: “There are two different types of franchising relationships. Business Format Franchising is the type most identifiable. In a business format franchise, the franchisor provides to the franchisee not just its trade name, products and services, but an entire system for operating the business.” In my opinion, a franchise is good if you are just starting a business or getting into one. Going independent I only recommend if you worked in a business and you know how to run one. Then you can start a business of your very own.

The of importance of ethics and sanctions in the story of Noah and the Flood is very important. Genesis 6:5-8 says:

The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

This passage says that there was a ton of wickedness on the face of the Earth. There was so much wickedness in the world that God actually regretted creating man. There was no one that served God any more! That is, except for Noah and his family.  Noah, his wife, their three sons, and their wives, were the only people in the entire world that still served God. That is the main reason God decided to destroy the Earth and save only Noah and his family. Genesis 6:1-4 says:

When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend witha] humans forever, for they are mortalb]; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

Another reason that Noah and his family were saved could be the fact that Noah and his family were not Nephilim (Creatures that were created by an angel marrying a human girl. In the story of David and Goliath, Goliath is a giant, not a human. This could be proof that Goliath and his ancestors were Nephilim). Genesis 6:11-22 says:

11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. 14 So make yourself an ark of cypressc] wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. 15 This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.d] 16 Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubite] high all around.f] Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks. 17 I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. 18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you. 19 You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. 20 Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive. 21 You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them.”

22 Noah did everything just as God commanded him.

This is proof that God cared about Noah and his family. More proof is him keeping his promise to send the Flood and save them. Some more is him placing the rainbow in the sky. The rainbow was actually a promise from God meaning that he will never Flood the entire Earth again, and he has never broken it, and he never will!

The history of Minoan Crete is fascinating. The Minoan Crete’s built their civilization on the island of Crete and lived from about 3600-1400 BC. We actually did not know anything about this civilization until an archaeologist named Sir Arthur Evans excavated the site and found a civilization now known as Minoan Crete. Evans named Minoan Crete after King Minos of Crete. He is from Greek legend. Found at Crete were lots of palaces and great buildings. These were a great people.

Mycenaean Greece Is also an interesting civilization. According to Wikipedia, Mycenaean Greece (or the Mycenaean Civilization) was the last phase of the Bronze age in ancient Greece, spanning the period from approximately 1750–1050 BC. They were very powerful. They built palaces and fortifications and other great architectural buildings. They were a great civilization.

In this essay I will talk about the three areas of business in Chick-Fil-A.

The first thing is Sales and Marketing. Sales and Marketing is when the people in a business try to make people buy the products that they make and sell. Chick-Fil-A uses multiple ways to make people eat there besides the great food. Chick-Fil-A does print ads which means that they put ads in newspapers. They mail people coupons in the mail. They put up billboards for people on the road or highway or wherever they are to make them want to eat there. They have television ads. They sponsor different things like the Peach Bowl, and they do it every year! They are on Facebook. They are on Instagram. They are on Twitter. They are on YouTube. They have so much ways to get people to eat at Chick-Fil-A.

The next thing is Operations. Operations are like how the food is made, how the restaurant, who works there, and the different jobs that people have there. There are four different jobs at Chick-Fil-A. They are Team member, Cashier, Hostess, and Manager. Team Members are people who just help out in the restaurant. Cashiers take peoples orders and handle the money. Hostesses give people their food and keep them happy. Managers make sure that everything is running smoothly.

The last thing is Finance and Administrations. These mean like how Chick-Fil-A handles it’s money. Like, how to expands, how to pay its workers, how to afford all those things I talked about in Sales and Marketing, and so much more.

And those three things do not just apply to Chick-Fil-A. It works in every business there is out there.

The element of hierarchy in Genesis 1-3 is very complicated so I will try my best to explain every little detail. Lets start at the beginning. In Genesis 1 God created everything from day one to day six. However, God was not happy, so he said in Genesis 1:26-28,

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created mankind in his own image,
    in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

God created man. In the hierarchy, God would be in command and Adam (the man he created) is below him because God created him. In Genesis 2:20-25,

20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.

But for Adamg] no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribsh] and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the ribi] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

23 The man said,

“This is now bone of my bones
    and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.”

24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

25 Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

Woman named Eve is in the same level of hierarchy as Adam because they are both human and they are both of one flesh. In Genesis 3:1-7,

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

The serpent, we do not know what level of hierarchy it is until Genesis 3:14-15,

14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,

“Cursed are you above all livestock
    and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
    and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
    between you and the woman,
    and between your offspringj] and hers;
he will crushk] your head,
and you will strike his heel.”

The serpent is below man and woman. My dad made an advent book called An Advent For The Cosmos. That book explains this essay but on a whole new scale! I recommend it as a must read book.

In this essay, I will be giving a brief account of what happened from Abraham to Moses. Well, if you do not know about Moses, you can read about him Here, but he had a son named Isaac. Soon Isaac had two children, Jacob and Esau. Jacob also had children, actually, he had twelve sons, and one child, Joseph, the second youngest brother, was actually the favorite of Jacob and, in their jealousy, his older brothers sold him into slavery in Egypt and throughout the years Joseph actually became second in command in Egypt and soon he was reunited with his brothers. Read more about Joseph Here. Well, soon their came came a king in Egypt who enslaved all Hebrews until a man named Moses lead them out of slavery. How important are the words ‘So What?’ in an autobiography? It is very important. You see, throughout the Ron Paul Curriculum ninth grade English, there are numerous autobiography’s to read. The latest autobiography that I read was The autobiography of Olaudah Equiano. According to Wikipedia, “Olaudah Equiano (1745 – 31 March 1797), known for most of his life as Gustavus Vassa, was a writer and abolitionist from, according to his memoir, the Ebbe region of the Kingdom of Benin (today southern Nigeria). Enslaved as a child in Africa, he was taken to the Caribbean and sold as a slave to a Royal Navy officer. He was sold twice more but purchased his freedom in 1766.” When Equiano was only eleven years old he and his sister were at their home by themselves while the adults were out working, which was common. Not long after, during that exact same day, some men came into their home, took them, separated Equiano from his sister, like millions of other slaves, and sold them into slavery. In fact, most of the autobiography’s I read this year were autobiography’s of slave’s who were free. Slavery was very wrong. And some people still use slavery to this day (I think). As I said in a much earlier essay, “Back then, slavery was very very wrong. According to Google, slavery means “the state of being a slave.” According to Google, a slave is “a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them.” That means that somebody owns another person (that person is the other person’s property) and forces him to do his bidding (work for him). The slave people were Black people. People captured these black people for slaves. I do not know why, but I think that it was just that either the whites were just evil evil men, or the whites captured the blacks because they thought that the blacks were ‘animals’. I mean, just because blacks have different skin color or they have different religious beliefs does not mean that they are of any less importance than the whites. People capturing people and forcing them to work as slaves when they have done nothing wrong is just wrong. The black African people have been peaceful for years. But then, Americans came in and captured the blacks and forced them to work as slaves. All men are created equal, and yet, the Americans were treating the Africans like animals. It is a miracle that slavery is now abolished (no more) to this day.”

Let me tell you why I think that the words ‘So What?’ in an autobiography are so important. First, Put yourself in the reader’s shoes. When you are writing an autobiography it has to be interesting so that people will want to keep on reading. Nobody wants to read a boring autobiography. When you are writing an autobiography and you are proofing it (like people do with other books or essays) if you happen to come across a part that you think is boring, than you probably should not put it into your paper because if you think it is boring, than your readers will probably think that it is boring. Think “If this is boring than I probably not put it into my paper”. Or if you can not decide if you should erase it or leave it alone, have a friend or family member read it and they can give you some feedback.

What was Equiano’s attitude regarding his life in the British Navy? According to Wikipedia, “Olaudah Equiano (1745 – 31 March 1797), known for most of his life as Gustavus Vassa, was a writer and abolitionist from, according to his memoir, the Eboe region of the Kingdom of Benin (today southern Nigeria). Not long after during that exact same day some men came into their home, took them separated Equiano from his sister, like millions of other slaves, and sold them into slavery. As I said in a much earlier essay, “Back then, slavery was very very wrong. According to Merriam-Webster, slavery means “the state of being a slave.” According to Merriam-Webster, a slave is “a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them.” That means that somebody owns another person (that person is the other person’s property) and forces him to do his bidding (work for him). The slave people were Black people. But then, Americans came in and captured the blacks and forced them to work as slaves. All men are created equal, and yet, the Americans were treating the Africans like animals. It is a miracle that slavery is now abolished (no more) to this day.” Slavery was very, very terrible.

So, back to the topic question, what was Equiano’s attitude regarding his life in the British Navy? I think I can answer this question in one word. Equiano’s attitude regarding his life in the British Navy was actually positive. Even I was surprised by this answer. What the funny thing was that when he saw the sight of the sailors of the British Navy, he thought that they were going to eat him. However, he asked somebody who was there with him if they were going to eat him and he said that they were not going to eat him. So, he got over that fear, thankfully. He soon got used to life out on the sea and loved his British Navy life. He also learned the English and soon became not a slave, but an English man. He just loved his life on the sea. I am so thankful that slavery does not exist any more.
